Loneliness is a
warrior’s dance
I’m a dancer soldier
dancing on firing tanks
I see every detail I swim inside the close ups
I'm flying on waves of rhythm that never stops
wherever they take me
dark blue and cement death
3 am here I am
icy cold and thirsty breath
and all the walls that don't stop me
outside your window
you never find me

Your first line really caught my attention and I felt as if I could relate to what it was saying. It was very powerful and made me want to read on. I also liked the third line as well as the sixth, they are very beautiful. I'm not really sure what the whole poem is about, if it is about love, life, or something else but I think the fact that I found it so vague is what made me see it in my own way and appreciate it more. The last line grabbed my attention just as much as the first so I loved how from beginning to end I remained engaged in your writing. I'm looking forward to what you'll be writing next.
ReplyDeletep.s. I really love the image you have of the cat at the top of your blog, it is adorable.
Thanks so much. I am curious to know how you relate to it personally. The image is a self-portrait...=)
DeleteI love the way you said "dancer soldier dancing on firing tanks," I couldn't imagine a soldier dancing on a tank which is why I feel its such a brilliant line. It gives a softer side to soldiers in a way.
ReplyDeleteOr a rougher side to dancers...

ReplyDeleteWow, this is an amazing piece that you had wrote hear. Despite it being rather short, you did a perfect job in making the piece almost come out alive and for us to be able to view it. Excellent. Can't wait for the next post!
